The Office of Innovation and Economic Development at SIU is proud to announce its participation in the Illinois Economic Empowerment Center (EEC) program, a new initiative launched by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity's Office of Economic Equity & Empowerment.

The EEC at SIU aims to create an inclusive business ecosystem by providing tailored small business development support to individuals and very small businesses (VSBs-10 employees or less). Our center offers customized services including advising, training, mentorship, and access to strategic resources to help entrepreneurs start, grow and sustain their businesses

EEC Business Advisement

Our EEC certified advisors offer confidential, no-cost business advising using the GrowthWheel® method. This powerful tool helps entrepreneurs make informed decisions, set priorities, and take action, guiding them through every stage of their business journey. Whether you're just starting out or looking to grow, our advisors provide the support needed to ensure sustained success.
