Welcome to the new Illinois Economic Empowerment Center at SIU (EEC)!
The Office of Innovation and Economic Development at SIU is proud to announce its participation in the Illinois Economic Empowerment Centers (EEC) Program, a new initiative launched by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity's Office of Minority Economic Empowerment.
The EEC Program aims to create an inclusive business ecosystem by providing tailored support to socially and economically disadvantaged individuals (SEDI) and very small businesses (VSBs). Our center will offer comprehensive services to entrepreneurs from traditionally underserved communities, including minorities, women, individuals with disabilities, dislocated workers, veterans, and youth.
